Welcome to the American Society of Civil Engineers at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University!
ASCE History at ERAU... As most of you know, the Embry-Riddle name is accompanied by an association with flight. The College of Engineering, however, extends much farther than the range of aerospace fields. Along with the #1 Ranking Aerospace Engineering Program for 7 years in a row, the College of Engineering also includes Civil, Computer, Electrical, Software, and Mechanical Engineering Programs. So, why do we attend ERAU? For the quality of education and a twist of aeronautics into the curriculum. At ERAU, the Civil Engineering Department's curriculum content is focused on aeronautical aspects of Transportation, Geotechnical, Material, Structural, and now Environmental Engineering. We also get to share the same engineering education that earns ERAU the #1 Ranking Aerospace Engineering Program. Established in 2001, and belonging to the Florida section East Central Branch, our chapter is included in ASCE Region Five (formerly known as the Southeast Regional Conference). Created on October 18, 2006, Region 5 includes the Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana Sections of the ASCE. Today, ERAU's ASCE student chapter continues to grow, providing career path guidance, public service events, team competition, and excellent networking opportunities for it's student members. Most of the College of Engineering's instruction and our ASCE Chapter Meetings take place in the Lehman Building, shown below. ASCE meetings are held in the Civil Engineering Instruction room, LB233. Thanks for visiting.
