Psi Omega, our friends and brothers
Psi Omega played an important roll in our chartering. The brother of that
chapter provided us with support, advice, and information that helped
set a strong foundation for ADN. They came out to our secret ritual site
twice a semester to conduct the mock Pledge (Pledge Ceremony was severely
altered for our group) and Petitioning Group Ceremony. When we were finally
given the National Fraternity's stamp of approval, Psi Omega conducted
our
Installation Ceremony. A plaque in recognition of Psi Omega's hard work
was given to them on October 18, 1997 at a fellowship in their honor.

Installation Ceremony
The chapter was installed at the Treasure Island Inn on Atlantic Avenue
in Daytona Beach on March 30, 1996. Psi Omega Chapter conducted the installation
along with two of our Alumni Advisor. Two small banquet rooms on the second
floor were used as the Installation Ceremony sites. A banquet followed
in Jolly Roger Banquet room where the charter was presented along with
the letter from Jim Lovell. The banquet hall was filled with 120 people,
which consisted of mostly brothers of our section. Representatives from
the Theta Phi Alpha, Alpha Xi Delta, and Sigma Alpha Epsilon were present
from the Greek community at ERAU. Dean Rockett of Student Life was present
to accept the charter on behalf of the University. All of the chartering
brothers of ADN and members of the Beta Pledge class were present with
the exception of two. (Timothy Nink, who had transferred out the university
and was unable to attend, and Brandon Spangler, who came just a few minutes
after the ceremony had started because of a delayed return from a Crew
race. He was prohibited from joining us and was initiated a few weeks
later.)
First Ceremonies
The ceremony site was far way from the road and consisted of two clearings
by the water. Our mascot, the osprey, was chosen because at this site
there was a tree full of osprey nests right by the second clearing.
