The Anything Goes Anime Created 1982 Article I - Name The
name of the organization shall be the “Anything Goes Anime” Club Article II - Purpose To
help provide an understanding of the Japanese culture and language
through a study of its animated industry. Article III - Membership An
active member shall be: 1.
A registered ERAU student, associate members, faculty or staff and people from
the surrounding community. 2.
In good academic standing with a GPA not below a 2.0 out of 4.0. 3.
Able to vote at meetings. 4.
Only students of ERAU shall be eligible to hold office. Article IV - Organizing Meetings A.
Meetings will be announced by banners and/or mailings. In an appropriate amount
of time prior to the meeting taking place. B.
Meetings will be held at least once a month or as deemed appropriate
by the executive council. Article V - Officers Executive

Treasurer Article VI - Duties of Officers A.
The Duties of the President 1.
Shall promote the club to the best of his/her ability. 2.
Shall preside over meetings. 3.
Shall call a vote when deemed necessary. 4.
Shall not vote, but will decide when there is a tie. 5.
Shall represent the organization at all events deemed necessary. 6.
Shall fulfill all other duties associated with the office. 7.
Shall co-sign in conjunction with the Treasurer, all financial transactions. B.
The Duties of the Vice-President 1.
Shall represent the organization in the President’s absence. 2.
Shall organize all social functions of the organization. 3.
Shall be responsible for recruiting new members. 4.
Shall oversee the public relations of the organization. C.
The Duties of the Secretary 1.
Shall keep a current record of all active members. 2.
Shall keep record of the inventory of the organization. 3.
When necessary, shall provide English translations of Japanese club material. D.
The Duties of the Treasurer 1.
Shall be responsible for all financial transactions. 2.
Shall give a report of the organizations financial status at every meeting. 3.
Shall be responsible for collecting dues when deemed necessary by the executive
council. 4.
Shall co-sign in conjunction with the President, all financial transactions. Article VII - Quorum, Nominations,
Elections, Terms of Office and Office Vacancies A.
Quorum 1.
A quorum shall consist of 2/3 of the active membership, and must be present at
the time of the election. 2.
Absentee ballots will be accepted only prior to the start of the election
meeting and will count towards the quorum. B.
Nominations A
candidate for any office can be nominated by an active member of the club at
the time of elections. C.
Elections 1.
Shall be held at the last meeting of the spring semester. 2.
Votes will be done by secret ballot. 3.
Votes will be counted by the Advisor. 4.
Absentee ballots collected prior to the election meeting will count towards the
quorum. 5.
A quorum of 2/3 of the active membership must be present at the election
meeting, or met by absentee ballots. D.
Terms of Office 1.
All offices shall be held for one calendar year, 2.
All executive officers/board members have the right to run for office, but
cannot hold the same office for more than 2 years. E.
Officer Vacancies 1.
In the event that an officer is not available to complete his/her
stay in office, the remaining executive council shall call a vote
at the next meeting to be in effect until the next regularly scheduled
vote takes place. Article VIII - Committees The
President shall appoint Committees as deemed necessary. Article IX - Dues 1.
Dues shall be determined by the executive council. 2.
Dues shall be collected by the Treasurer. 3.
Dues shall be collected by the third meeting of each semester. Article X - Amendments 1.
Amendments can be submitted by any active member of the club to the executive
council. 2.
The President shall call a vote, and the amendment must receive a 2/3 vote from
the active membership in order to become official. |
